吴幼龙于2007年本科毕业于武汉大学电子工程系，2011年硕士毕业于上海交通大学信息工程系，并于2014年博士毕业于巴黎高科高等电信学院。2014～2016年，他加入慕尼黑工大从事博士后和高级研究员工作。他于2017年加入上海科技大学任副教授、研究员、博导。他的研究方向主要包括信息论和信息论在其他它领域的应用，如分布式计算、边缘人工智能等领域。目前已在IEEE TIT、JSAC、TON、 TIFS、 TCOM等国际重要期刊及会议上发表学术论文80余篇，出版英文专著1本，并主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家自然科学基金青年项目、上海市科委等支持的多个项目。他于2017年获得洪堡学者荣誉，并于2018年入选上海浦江人才计划。
