Dr. Xin Lou received the B.Eng. degree from Zhejiang University (ZJU), China, in 2010 , the M.Sc. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, in 2012 , and the Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2016. Following his doctoral studies, he served as a Research Scientist at VIRTUS, the IC Design Centre of Excellence at NTU.
He joined the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University in February 2017 , where he is currently a tenured Associate Professor. His research interests focus on digital Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) circuits and systems, with a particular emphasis on high-performance chip design for 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, and image processing. He has authored or co-authored over 90 papers in prestigious international journals and conferences.
Dr. Lou is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the CCF Technical Committee on Integrated Circuit Design. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (TVLSI). His previous editorial roles include serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs (2022-2023) , a Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers (2024), and a member of the IEEE CAS Technical Committee.
