Haoyu Wang received the bachelor's (Distinguished Hons.) degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree  (Distinction) from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA, in 2014, both in electrical engineering. In 2014, he joined the School of Information Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech University, where he is currently a Full Professor with tenure. In 2023, he was a Visiting Academic Fellow with the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K. His research interests include power electronics, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and power management integrated circuits. 

Dr. Wang is an IET Fellow, and IEEE Senior Member. He serves as an Associate Editor of IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON TRANSPORTATION ELECTRIFICATION, CPSS Transactions on Power Electronics and Applications, and a Guest Associate Editor of IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER ELECTRONICS.
