Abstract:

I will briefly describe some work on various different non-traditional imaging techniques and results.  They will include event cameras, dual-pixel cameras, polarization sensors, and also some remarks about Scheimpflug cameras.   The talk will outline some of our results from recent years, and suggest some directions for future research.

Bio:

Prof.  Richard Hartley is an Emeritus Professor with the ANU. He is renowned as one of the founders of the field of multi-view geometry in computer vision – his text has received over 35,000 citations. He was also the Program Leader for the Autonomous Systems and Sensor Technology Program of NICTA.  In 2000, he co-authored (with Andrew Zisserman) a book for Cambridge University Press, summarizing the previous decade’s research in this area. (Over 76,000 citations and an h-index of 87).
