Abstract:
Mid-wave infrared (MWIR) photodetectors (PDs) have been widely used in many applications such as chemical sensing, imaging, and target tracking over past several decade years. In recent years, due to the development of quantum cascade laser and interband cascade laser technology, the requirements of high-speed MWIR photodetectors are growing rapidly in different fields like free-space optical communication and frequency comb spectroscopy. In this talk, several high-speed MWIR PDs with different design structures based on type II superlatice will be introduced, experimental results show that these PDs have great potential for the high-speed applications.
