Assistant Professor Xufeng Kou and Baile Chen Won 2017 "Shanghai Sailing Plan"

      2017 Shanghai Sailing Plan’s review and assessment work was completed in past few weeks.Assistant Professors Xufeng Kou and Baile Chen from SIST were two of the 300- selected researchers to be funded by the Plan.  Both of the two SIST professors are from Micro-Nano optoelectronic field.

      In order to help outstanding researchers to develop rapidly, encourage and support the young scientists to carry out the original bold exploration and independent innovation, Shanghai Science and Technology Commission in 2014 launched the "Shanghai SailingPlan". The funded candidates are the researchers under the age of 32 and work in Universities and research institutes inShanghai. The “Sailing Plan” awarded candidates can also apply for “National Natural Science Foundation of China” and “Shanghai Star Plan”, which allows the seamless convergence between various types of talent plan.
