Abstract:
In recent years, with the development of technologies on localization, perception, planning, and control, our community has witnessed tremendous progress of the autonomy of aerial robots. Based on the success of fully autonomous drones, researchers have set higher expectations on swarm intelligence. In this talk, I will start with some recent results of my group, ranging from state estimation to trajectory optimization. Then I will go through several novel aerial applications and systems we integrated with the help of these newly developed algorithms. Finally, with the discussion of some basic ideas of the aerial swarm, I will introduce our works ‘Ego-swarm’ and its enhanced version, which presents a fully autonomous aerial swarm system with high agility and robustness by only using onboard vision.
