The annual ShanghaiTech Symposium on Information Science and Technology (SSIST) is an international forum that features fundamental research developments and groundbreaking technologies in the areas of electrical engineering, computer sciences, and computational mathematics. Each year, we invite some of the most renowned researchers in the world from both academia and industry to present their latest research work and to discuss future research directions.
The first SSIST held in 2015 focused on Data Science and Machine Learning, and the second SSIST 2016 focused on Robotics, Virtual Reality, and Computing Theory and Systems. We plan to hold the third SSIST Symposium this year(SSIST 2017)from July the 2nd to the 4th on our new campus in Zhangjiang Hitech District. This year's symposium features the themes on Artificial Intelligence, Web Security, and Smart Energy.
Shortly after the symposium, there will be the SWEDCS 2017 on the “Intelligent Hardware” to be held from July 7th to 8th, for the detailed information, please check the SWEDCS workshop website: http://swedcs.shanghaitech.edu.cn or contact by sistconference@shanghaitech.edu.cn
Both the symposium and the workshop will be hosted by the School of Information Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech University, which aim to bring the state of the art research and industrial technologies to young researchers and graduate students in China, especially in the neighboring areas of Shanghai.
Whether you are coming up with on-going ideas, developing new techniques, or using existing ones in novel ways, your poster submission is always welcome.
We encourage all attendees (particularly for students) from the areas of machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, optimization, and security to submit their novel work as posters to the conference.
Submitted posters will be screened and the final selected posters will be exhibited at the conference venue.
The poster submission is together with registration.
