Shu Yin is an Assistant Professor, PI in the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology, China, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. He received the Ph.D. in Computer Science from Auburn University, USA in 2012. Prior to joining ShanghaiTech University in 2016, he had been an assistant professor with Hunan University for two years (2012-2014). He then served as an associate professor at Hunan University from 2015 to 2016. His research interests include parallel and distributed systems, storage systems, high performance computing, energy-efficiency, fault tolerance, and reliability analysis. His research is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China's Ministry of Education, and ShanghaiTech University. He has been on the program committees of various international conferences, including IEEE ICPP, IEEE HPCC, IEEE Cluster, and IEEE IPCCC.
