AMD held 2017’s first campus recruitment in the lecture hall of SIST on Oct. 20th. AMD Global Vice President Kiranmai Pendyala, China R&D Center General Manager Allen Lee, Semi-Custom Business Group Director Arthur Zhang, Human Resource Senior Manager Jean Kang attended the recruitment. Hundreds of students from ShanghaiTech, Shanghai High Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences and other universities joined the recruitment .In order to allow more students to participate in the interaction, the whole event was broadcasted via the network.
A promotional video brought the students to AMD’s technology field, followed by Maggie Zhang’s opening remarks (the HR Manager of Shanghai District). She admitted ShanghaiTech’s strength and competitiveness in growing into a new university, that’s the reason why AMD chose ShanghaiTech University as the first stop in its Campus Recruitment. AMD welcomes more and more students from ShanghaiTech to learn and join AMD.
The four company executives introduced AMD’s growth and development history in China, its talent development strategy and the entire application process. In the Q&A session, the students were very actively to put forward the questions, showing a great enthusiasm about the company.  Two students even got the direct access to the interview because of their outstanding performance. The propaganda ended with a written exam.

In the next few weeks, SIASUN, BASF, Bank of Shanghai, United Imaging, SMIC and a number of other well-known enterprises will hold a special recruitment in our school. At the same time, our school will host a “Shanghai Zhangjiang Science City 2016 College Graduates and Overseas Students Comprehensive Recruitment" to expand the employment opportunities for our graduates, which we think will mutually benefit both the university and the industrial park.
