An undergraduate Cao Qi contributes to the ECCE-Asia as the first author
Date: 2018/5/7             Browse: 78

Recently, an undergraduate student of SIST, Qi Cao has published a paper as the first author on ECCE-Asia (Paper title: Wide Voltage Gain Range LLC DC/DC Topologies: State-of-the-Art) [1]. ECCE-Asia is the most prestigious conference in power electronics area in Asia.

Having joined in Professor Haoyu Wang’s Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Lab (PEARL) for about one year, Qi Cao read a large volume of papers and completed a comprehensive overview on principle, design, and applications of LLC resonant converters. Based on this work, he wrote a high-quality review paper and get it accepted by ECCE-Asia. Moreover, he has published a related paper as the third author on IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (the best journal in power electronics) [2].

Qi Cao’s research achievements in his undergraduate owe to Professor Wang’s guidance, graduate students (Zhiqing Li, Ming Shang) help and his individual efforts. Besides, it’s also related to the good research atmosphere and favorable research condition provided by ShanghaiTech. For those who have a strong interest in research, professors can provide enough resources and guidance. We hope that more undergraduates will participate in research projects and obtain great success.
