石远明博士于2011年7月获得清华大学电子工程学士学位,其中2007年8月至2009年7月于数学物理基础科学班学习; 2015年8月获得香港科技大学电子及计算机工程博士学位,师从Khaled B. Letaief教授。他于2015年9月加入上海科技大学信息科学与技术学院任助理教授、研究员、博导。他于2016年10月至2017年2月期间任加州大学伯克利分校访问学者,访问Martin J. Wainwright教授。他的研究成果荣获2016 IEEE Marconi Prize Paper Award (马可尼论文奖),以及2016 IEEE信号处理学会最佳青年作者论文奖。他主要的研究方向为智能物联网与智慧城市,密集无线通信网络,计算大数据分析,社交网络与复杂网络,凸优化与非凸优化,机器学习理论及算法,统计理论,以及信号处理。
